第一篇、查尔斯爵士之死
1.查尔斯爵士晚上在巴斯克维尔庄园的离奇死亡，身体体无明显伤痕，脸部却极度扭曲。
2.查尔斯爵士生前有心脏病，跟莫蒂默医生很熟，临死前交给他一份神秘的手稿，揭开了可怕的家族诅咒。
3.莫蒂默医生征求福尔摩斯的意见，要不要带查尔斯爵士唯一的继承人亨利爵士回到庄园，尸检报告为正常死亡，但离尸体不远处有巨型猎犬的爪印。
第二篇、继承人亨利爵士被跟踪
1.福尔摩斯与继承人亨利爵士见面，爵士提出疑惑，有人给他寄信，让他不要回庄园，而且住旅店丢了一只靴子。
2.莫蒂默医生不得已告诉亨利爵士家族诅咒的真相，亨利爵士心烦意乱，与莫蒂默医生出去散心。
3.福尔摩斯紧随其后，发现亨利爵士已经被人跟踪，与此同时，跟踪者也发现了福尔摩斯，侥幸逃脱，并开始宣战。
第三篇、亨利爵士初到庄园
1.福尔摩斯安排华生跟亨利爵士回到庄园，路上听说有个杀人狂魔越狱了，而庄园的阴森、半夜女人的哭声，更加重了恐怖气氛。
2.华生偶遇斯特普尔顿先生，他是一位生物学家，住在梅里皮特庄园，有一个妹妹同住，他说荒原有很多大沼泽，非常危险。

2.华生推算出潜伏在荒原上的那个人住在山坡石屋里，他冒险进入石屋，等待神秘人，没想到等来的却是福尔摩斯。
3.福尔摩斯为了不打草惊蛇，偷偷办案，两人回顾案件细节，却被可怕的叫声打断，在荒原看到误死的逃犯，虚惊一场。
第五篇、高手对决，险象环生
1.福尔摩斯为引出凶手，假装跟华生回伦敦，独留亨利爵士单独赴宴，并交待他去梅里皮特庄园的话术和路线。
2.福尔摩斯和华生再次去找劳拉·莱昂斯太太，戳穿斯特普尔顿的虚情假意，莱昂斯太太绝望的说出实情。
3.福尔摩斯叫来警察莱斯特雷德，跟华生一起，暗中来到梅里皮特庄园，保护亨利爵士，给凶手布下天罗地网。
4.荒原下起了大雾，亨利爵士归来路上，被巨型喷火猎犬追逐，福尔摩斯紧要关头射死猎犬，凶手斯特普尔顿狡猾逃离。
第六篇、真相大白还原案件细节
1.他们在梅里皮特庄园搜捕凶手，却意外发现被捆绑的斯特普尔顿太太，亨利爵士惊吓过度，莫蒂默医生进行照看。
